Customer requirements
- Reinforced structure. The client wanted an innovative solution – bioclimatic pergolas that not only provide shade and microclimate control, but are also sturdy enough to walk on. This was to become a distinctive part of the attic space.
- Bioclimatic functionality. The automatically controlled pergolas had to adapt to the weather conditions, either by adjusting the shade, providing natural ventilation, or by completely closing the space from rain.
- Expansion of space. The attic terrace had to be large, covered and suitable for various activities. A transparent glass fence is needed for security, but without visual obstructions, to maintain an open view of the city and its skyline.
- Contemporary aesthetics. The design had to blend naturally with the modern architecture of the building, while retaining an impression of luxury, lightness and technological progress.
Our solution
Design
An exclusive penthouse terrace with bioclimatic pergolas combining technological innovation and architectural elegance. For the first time in Lithuania, reinforced pergola structures that can be walked on have been adapted to create additional roof space that is fully utilised.
Materials used
Reinforced aluminium profiles and load-bearing elements – for strength, load resistance and durability.
Automatic bioclimatic blinds – weather-controlled, allowing you to control the flow of light and air.
Tempered glass fences are safe, visually light and preserve panoramic views of the city and river.
Technology
Bioclimatic system – automatic control of the slats, adapting to sun, wind and rain.
Reinforced support structure – allows people to walk on the surface of the pergola without losing the tightness or stability of the structure.
Integrated drainage system – efficient collection and drainage of precipitation from the roof surface.
