Textile architecture

Textile architecture – sometimes also called awning architecture – is one of the most modern architectural movements, where the main material used is PVC awning – also known as . The awning is a polyester thread-reinforced, high-quality PVC awning material coated on both sides with acrylic lacquer, which protects the awning against waterlogging, moulding and UV rays, and which ensures that the awning does not fade and retains its colour for a long time. The awning is resistant to temperature fluctuations and does not change its physical properties at -30/+70C. The tensile strength of awning material has made textile architecture an excellent niche for this material. Increasingly, awnings are being used for non-standard construction work, which can be carried out even on uneven surfaces, in shapes that suit your imagination. The awning is characterised by its airtightness, thanks to the use of high-pressure, hot-air brazing technology for the joints, which is impervious to moisture and does not suffer from the corrosion pitting that is common in metal constructions. Roofs covered with awnings do not trap snow as its slippery surface simply slides off, thus protecting the structure from additional loads, and the light transmission makes it possible not to use additional lighting during the day (depending on the awnings colour). The awning does not absorb dirt and is easy to clean, and any damage is easily and quickly repaired.
