Pergola with rotation lamels
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF A PERGOLA WITH ROTATING LAMELLAS (BIOCLIMATIC)
There are 3 main types of the sliding roofs for the pergolas:
- Sliding tent.
- Rotating lamellas.
- Rotating and sliding lamellas.
The range of advantages and wide scope of application are peculiar to each type.
Pergola with the rotating lamelas or bioclimatic pergola is one of the most popular models on the market of the sun-protective systems. The rotating lamelas is one of the main advantages of this type of pergola. The lamelas are made of the extruded aluminum and rotate under the angle up to 90°. Such roof design allows to adjust the air circulation and to control direction and level of lighting. One more advantage is durability of the supporting structure even under the extreme loads. Pergola can withstand wind up to 120 km/h. An elegant and sustainable design, which looks naturally in any exterior is the additional advantage. The model is equipped with the embedded automated control and can be controlled using the remote-control panel, mobile telephone and digitizing tablet.
The disadvantages of the pergola include lack of the possibility to open a roof completely and lack of an embedded lighting in the rotating lamelas.
The cost of such pergola is estimated individually for each customer. A final cost will depend on the dimensions and component parts.

What makes a bioclimatic pergola special?
Bioclimatic pergolas are a type of pergola that are distinguished by their installation possibilities, size, functionality, durability and modern design. The advantages are indeed numerous, both in terms of appearance and technical aspects. But perhaps most importantly, you can build the gazebo of your dreams! A bioclimatic pergola is a rather large, one could say tall, structure, the main structure of which is made up of sturdy and large columns and beams. The other components are the roof, which can be made of slats or other materials that automatically open or extend; and, of course, the walls, into which the systems are integrated, with or without the desired glazing option. Thus, the pergola can be of different types and dimensions, depending on the installation, roof and walls.Bioclimatic pergola installation options
There are many ways of installing a pergola, and sometimes the installation is completely out of the ordinary – custom-made to the customer’s specifications or when the best solution is found for an unusual place to relax, i.e. a pergola. In most cases, however, the pergola can be:- freestanding (i.e. with four or more columns) anywhere, e.g. in the garden or just in an empty larger area. There is a wide range of possibilities to create it. This pergola is perhaps the most perfect and popular choice, as it is the ideal place for everything: relaxing, meeting, working or just to be alone and enjoy nature in all weathers and times of the year.
- wall-mounted – a pergola that is built right up against the wall of a house or other building. In many cases, it is desirable to have a pergola close to the house. Therefore, the wall-mounted pergola structure is made up of only two columns (as standard). This is extremely practical and one of the most optimal solutions. Such a wall pergola is also installed in the outdoor part of a café. It is very useful not only for extending the area of the café, but also for welcoming more visitors to enjoy the fresh air and the pleasant atmosphere of the café.
- suspended – a pergola that has no columns in the structure and only the roof is attached to the building wall. This is especially great if you have a smaller recreation space and don’t want any “pillars”. This gives you more space, but also protects you from the heat and too much sunlight. The roof of such a pergola can be made of slats or panels which can be adjusted if necessary.
- Integrated – this option is chosen when the building has an unusual façade that allows the integration of bioclimatic pergola. These are often customised solutions that require more or less materials, special design and other unusual things compared to other pergolas. But the result is always very satisfying.
Smart bioclimatic pergola roof
As with any pergola, one of the most important parts of a pergola is the roof. Except that in the case of a pergola, the roof can be really special. Because the slats on it can be controlled in such a way as to adjust the light level, direction and air circulation. This control is very convenient because it is automated – by remote control, by smart device (phone, tablet, computer). The roof of the bioclimatic pergola can be equipped with:- rotating lamels;
- retractable lamels;
- with sandwich panels PIR.
